Daily Checkpoints Before Running Your Corrugated Roof Sheet Line

Starting a corrugated roll forming line safely comes down to a short checklist you run before the first coil goes in. First, confirm the decoiler holds the coil centered and the mandrel expands fully. Walk the roller stations and look for loose set screws or metal chips left from the last run. Check the hydraulic oil level and the air pressure on any pneumatic parts, then press the emergency stop to verify it cuts power to the main motor.

Set the cut length and piece count on the touch screen and run the machine inching mode. Feed a short test strip through, compare the profile against the sample sheet, and measure the first cut length with a tape before stacking. Listen for unusual noise from the gearbox and watch the ammeter; a jump in current usually means a roller station is binding.

During the shift, keep the exit table clear so oil and zinc dust do not mark the painted surface. Change rollers only after locking out the main switch, and run a test sheet again before full production. Keep a log of cut lengths, coil thickness and operator notes. A ten-minute pre-shift walk prevents most jams and crooked panels later in the working day. Wear gloves at the exit table, where fresh edges stay sharp.
