Standing seam panels are used where a roof must resist wind uplift and shed water without exposed fasteners. The former bends the coil into a flat pan, then folds each side edge upward into a 65 mm vertical leg. A separate electric seamer walks along the joined seams and clamps the legs together. Because the roof skin is held by hidden clips, the panels can slide as the metal expands and contracts through the seasons. The roof making machine leaves the side edges pre-formed, so the crew only carries the seamer up the roof and needs no field bending station.
Product Advantages
The roof making machine produces panels with no exposed screw holes, which cuts leakage points on long roofs. Al-Mg-Mn coil weighs about a third of steel, so crews lift longer panels on site. Continuous panels can run up to roughly 60 m, which reduces end laps across wide bays.
