High-Precision Forming and Cutting
Utilizing multi-pass progressive cold-rolling dies (made from Cr12MoV/GCr15 steel with a hardness of HRC 58–62) in conjunction with a servo-driven flying shear system, the machine achieves forming dimension tolerances within ±0.2 mm and cutting length tolerances within ±0.5 mm. The keel edges are cut cleanly, ensuring a seamless, tight fit during assembly.
Durable, Reliable, and Low Maintenance
The frame of the Light Steel Keel Machine undergoes integral tempering treatment; the rolling dies are quenched and chrome-plated, and the bearings feature a heavy-duty design. The machine has a projected service life of 8–10 years. Routine maintenance requires only periodic lubrication, resulting in a low failure rate.
Process Flow
Uncoiling
The steel coil (either galvanized steel strip or cold-rolled steel strip) is hoisted onto the uncoiling stand, unwound, and fed into the leveling unit.
Control: Coil centering and uncoiling tension.

Leveling and Guiding
The steel strip passes through multiple sets of leveling rollers to eliminate internal coiling stresses and ensure it enters the main forming machine in a perfectly flat and straight condition.
Control: Leveling roller gap and feed direction.

Cold Roll Forming
The steel strip sequentially passes through 10 to 20 sets of forming rollers. Each roller station progressively deforms the cross-section, ultimately shaping the material into the desired keel profile (C, U, L, Ω, etc.).
Control Parameters: Individual roller gaps and frame synchronization.

Precise Length Cutting
The continuously formed keel profile is cut to the specified length in-line using a servo-driven flying shear (or flying saw).
Control: Length dimensions, cut synchronization precision.

Palletizing and Collection
After cutting, the keel sections automatically drop onto a collection table via a conveyor belt, or are neatly stacked by a palletizer, ready for packaging.
Control: Stacking alignment, buffer baffle position.

Dongguang Baoqiang Machinery started in 2017 in the Botou area of Cangzhou, where roll forming and cold bending work is a familiar trade. The company can design and build machines according to user drawings, then help with installation, adjustment and later repair work. On this machine, the strip passes through forming rollers, is straightened by small corrections, and is cut after forming. Before quoting, we usually ask for the drawing, steel thickness, daily output plan and local voltage, because these details change the roller set and motor choice.

A: It can, but the way is decided by the profile. Some sizes need spacer adjustment, while very different shapes may need another roller set.
