When selecting roll forming equipment, first pay attention to the diameter of its three top rollers: they must match the type of steel to be cold-bent. Smaller roller diameters result in a smaller contact area, making slippage during processing easier and causing deformation when bending non-standard steel. Secondly, consider the diameter and stroke of the hydraulic cylinder: these are based on the output pressure of the hydraulic cylinder and the radius of the steel being processed.
The thickness of the steel plate of the roll forming equipment's platform and the quality of its frame are also important, requiring sufficient load-bearing capacity and overall machine strength. Additionally, the motor power and the quality of the reducer must meet specific requirements.
During operation, use hydraulic oil of the same brand as the system, with an oil temperature between 45 and 80°C. Use a high flow rate to remove as many impurities as possible from the system. The hydraulic system should be cleaned at least three times. After each cleaning, drain the oil completely from the system while it is still hot.
After cleaning, clean the filter again, replace the filter element, and then add new oil. Select the appropriate drive method for the oil pump of the roll forming equipment from among electric, pneumatic, and gasoline engine drives, and understand its capacity. Based on the working environment, consider the operating temperature of the oil pump and the cooling conditions of the roll forming machinery to determine if explosion-proof measures are required.
